The Studio

Tucked down a little lane, just off the High Street in South Queensferry, you'll find Harbour Lane Studio. Like hidden treasure, the best things are always tucked away.

Opened in 2016, it is run by illustrator Tori Gray, the designer and maker behind our homeware range. Harbour Lane Studio started as a way for Tori to get back into the creative industry after losing her way in retail jobs after university. Originally just looking for studio space to flex those creative muscles again, Tori moved back to her home town of South Queensferry and started the hunt for a space to work in. As soon as she walked in to view the studio, she knew it would be perfect. It had old wooden beams, antique bread ovens set into the walls and not a right angle in sight. It was quirky in all the right ways and screaming out to be shown some love.

The only down side was that the space was much too big for one wee illustrator, even if she does come with a lot of art supplies. So after dividing the space into two zones, she got in touch with a range of artists and makers from her uni days and asked if they'd like their work to be stocked in her new shop. And the rest is history!

Fast forward to the current day and the shop has grown an extension, now features the work from over 100 different artists and makers from all over the UK and even employs two other creatives who also juggle their own practices.

We've become known for our range of illustrated homeware which is designed and made by our own fair hands (some of which is still made in the studio!) Our range is always growing with new designs added all the time and is the perfect way to create a real focal point in your room.
